Welcome to Rocket Age. Rocket Age is operated by **Studio Motto Motto Inc.**, Montréal, Québec, Canada (« Rocket Age, » « we, » « us, » or « our »).
By creating an account, accessing Rocket Age, or using its features, you agree to these Terms of Use (the « Terms ») and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Rocket Age.
## 1. Eligibility
Rocket Age is intended only for adults **18 years of age or older**. You may not create an account if you are under 18, if we previously banned your account for violating these Terms, or if using Rocket Age would violate any law that applies to you. By creating an account, you confirm that you are legally an adult, that you have never been convicted of an offence involving violence or sexual misconduct, that you are not required to register as a sex offender with any government registry, and that the age and identity information you provide is accurate.
## 2. Your Account
You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, maintain only one account, and never impersonate another person or create fraudulent or spam accounts. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or pose a safety risk to other users.
## 3. Your License to Use Rocket Age
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Rocket Age app and services for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Rocket Age; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our software except where the law permits it; or access Rocket Age through bots, scrapers, or other automated means.
## 4. Dating and Social Features
Rocket Age provides matching, messaging, games, signals, beacons, Party Mode, and availability tools. Rocket Age does not guarantee that you will receive matches, messages, invitations, dates, or any particular relationship outcome. You alone decide whether, when, and where to meet other users.
**How profiles are shown.** The profiles you see, and the order in which your profile is shown to others, are influenced by factors including your preferences and filters, your activity, how other users interact with profiles across Rocket Age (including reactions and scoring collected through browsing and game features), and paid visibility features such as Boosts. No ranking or score is ever a statement by Rocket Age about any person’s worth.
**Party Mode.** Party Mode is optional. When you opt into a Party Mode event, your profile becomes visible to other opted-in attendees of that event — including people you have not matched with — until the event ends or you opt out. Do not opt in if you do not want to be visible in that setting.
## 5. User-Generated Content
Users may submit profiles, photos, text, voice recordings, and game responses (« Content »). You retain ownership of Content you create.
By submitting Content, you grant Studio Motto Motto Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, sublicensable to the service providers that operate our infrastructure, to host, store, reproduce, adapt, translate, display, and distribute that Content for the purposes of operating, improving, securing, and moderating Rocket Age. This includes displaying your Content to other users through Rocket Age’s features according to your settings; producing translated versions of your prompts and responses so users in other languages can read them; using your Content within game, scoring, and ranking features where other users view and react to it; and reviewing Content for moderation, safety, and legal compliance.
This license ends when you delete the Content or your account, except that we may retain copies as needed for moderation, fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations, or the establishment or defence of legal claims.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the Content you submit, and that it does not violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or any third party’s rights. If you send us suggestions or feedback about Rocket Age, we may use them without restriction or compensation.
## 6. Community Guidelines
Rocket Age is built for real people interacting respectfully. The following are prohibited: harassment, bullying, threats, or stalking; hate speech; non-consensual intimate imagery; impersonation; fraud or scams; spam or commercial solicitation; promotion of violence; infringement of intellectual property; attempts to obtain other users’ passwords or personal information for improper purposes; exploitation of any kind; creating accounts without authorization; and circumventing safety, moderation, or rate-limiting systems.
### Child Safety
Rocket Age has **zero tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation**. You may not upload, share, request, or promote any content that sexually exploits, grooms, trafficks, or sexualizes minors. Violations result in immediate content removal and account termination, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Rocket Age is an adults-only service.
## 7. Reporting and Blocking
Rocket Age provides tools to **report content or users** and to **block other users**. Reports are reviewed for safety and enforcement purposes. Filing false or retaliatory reports violates these Terms. Blocking limits interaction between accounts: blocked users cannot initiate contact with you or appear in your feeds.
## 8. Moderation and Enforcement
**Zero tolerance for objectionable content.** Rocket Age has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive user behavior, including but not limited to harassment, hate speech, threats, sexually explicit content depicting minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, spam, impersonation, and any material that violates applicable law.
**Reporting.** Report through the in-app reporting mechanisms, or contact **jflessard@mottomotto.ca** for issues that occur outside the app.
**24-hour response commitment.** Motto Motto reviews and acts on every report of objectionable content or abusive user behavior within 24 hours of receipt. Violations result in content removal, account suspension or termination, or bans.
**Blocking.** You may block any other user at any time through the in-app block mechanism.
We may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content in order to enforce these Terms, investigate reports, protect users, prevent fraud, comply with law, or maintain the security of the service. Enforcement measures include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, and termination.
## 9. No Background Checks
**Rocket Age does not conduct criminal background checks, identity verification, or other screening of its users.** We make no representations about the conduct, identity, or intentions of any user. Statements made by users in their profiles, messages, and games are their own; we do not verify them. Always use your own judgment when interacting with people you meet on Rocket Age.
## 10. Real-World Meetings and Safety
Meeting another user involves risks that Rocket Age cannot eliminate. Exercise judgment: meet in public places, tell a trusted contact where you are going, arrange your own transportation, and leave any situation that feels unsafe. Features like Beacons and availability tools help with coordination, but they do not constitute a guarantee that another person is safe, trustworthy, or accurately represented. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services immediately.
## 11. Location and Availability
Some features use location and availability data to power matching and coordination. You control these through your settings. Do not use Rocket Age to track, stalk, or infer another person’s location without their authorization.
## 12. Purchases, Subscriptions, Boosts and Credits
Rocket Age offers paid features, including Boosts, Tactical Mode, and Premium subscriptions. Prices may vary by platform and region and may change over time. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by those platforms and are also subject to their terms.
**Subscriptions.** Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, generally at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app or your account does **not** cancel a subscription — you must cancel through the platform where you purchased it.
**Boosts and credits are not money.** Boosts, credits, and other consumable features are a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use a feature within Rocket Age. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another person or account.
**Credit-back, not refunds.** Studio Motto Motto Inc. does not issue monetary refunds for purchases. If a Boost you purchased is not delivered — for example, it expires without being consumed — we will credit the Boost back to your account. To the extent permitted by applicable law, this credit-back is your exclusive remedy for an undelivered consumable feature. Requests for monetary refunds of App Store or Google Play purchases must be directed to Apple or Google and are handled under their respective refund policies; we do not control their decisions.
**Forfeiture.** To the extent permitted by applicable law, unused Boosts and credits are forfeited if you delete your account or if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the legal warranty provided by the Québec Consumer Protection Act.
## 13. Paid Features Do Not Guarantee Outcomes
Paid features may alter access and visibility within Rocket Age. Purchasing a feature does **not** guarantee: a match; a message or reply; a Rescue acceptance; a date; increased attraction from another user; or any specific placement or outcome except as expressly described in the feature.
## 14. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Rocket Age account through the account-deletion functionality provided in the app. After deletion, some information may be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations, or enforcement of these Terms, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel subscriptions (see Section 12) and forfeits unused Boosts and credits to the extent permitted by law.
## 15. Privacy and Communications
Your use of Rocket Age is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, which service providers process it on our behalf, and the choices you have. By using Rocket Age you agree to receive service communications (such as safety notices, match and message notifications, and account information). Marketing communications are sent only in accordance with applicable law, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and always include a way to unsubscribe.
## 16. Intellectual Property
Rocket Age — including its software, branding, interface, graphics, game systems, designs, trademarks, and other proprietary materials — belongs to Studio Motto Motto Inc. or its licensors. Except for the limited license in Section 3 and any rights that cannot be excluded by law, these Terms do not grant you any right to copy, distribute, or create derivative works from these materials.
**Intellectual property complaints.** If you believe content on Rocket Age infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, contact **jflessard@mottomotto.ca** with: identification of the work you claim is infringed, the location of the allegedly infringing content within Rocket Age, your contact information, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized. We review and act on legitimate notices.
## 17. Service Availability
We aim to keep Rocket Age available and functional but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued as the service evolves. We may suspend the service in whole or in part for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
## 18. Disclaimer
Rocket Age provides a platform for users to interact. We do not control the conduct of users, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of profile information, the identity of users, or the safety of any interaction, online or offline. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rocket Age is provided on an « as available » basis, without guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability or any particular dating outcome. Nothing in this section excludes warranties or conditions that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including the legal warranty under Québec law.
## 19. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law: Studio Motto Motto Inc. will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses resulting from your use of Rocket Age or your interactions with other users; and our total liability for all claims relating to Rocket Age is limited to the greater of (a) CAD $100 and (b) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for bodily or moral injury, or for damage caused by our intentional or gross fault, under the laws of Québec.
## 20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Studio Motto Motto Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of the Content you submit, your conduct on or through Rocket Age, your interactions with other users, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This obligation does not apply where prohibited by consumer protection law.
## 21. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as Rocket Age evolves. If we make a material change, we will notify you in writing (in-app or by email) at least **30 days before the change takes effect**. The notice will state the new or amended terms, the date they take effect, and your right to refuse the change and terminate your account without cost or penalty before that date. Continued use of Rocket Age after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, where permitted by law.
## 22. Additional Terms for Users on Apple Devices
If you access Rocket Age on an Apple device, the following also applies:
These Terms are concluded between you and Studio Motto Motto Inc. only — not with Apple Inc. (« Apple »). Apple is not responsible for Rocket Age or its content. Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (except that the app may be accessed by other accounts via Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable).
Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a « terrorist supporting » country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
## 23. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections or other laws that apply to you — including your right, where the law provides it, to bring proceedings before the courts or small-claims tribunals of your own jurisdiction — any dispute relating to these Terms or to Rocket Age will be brought before the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Québec.
## 24. Language
A French version of these Terms is available at **[URL of French version]**. Where permitted by law, and after having been provided with the French version, you and Studio Motto Motto Inc. may expressly agree that these Terms and related documents be drawn up in English. / Une version française des présentes conditions est disponible à l’adresse indiquée ci-dessus. Lorsque la loi le permet, et après avoir reçu la version française, vous et Studio Motto Motto Inc. pouvez convenir expressément que les présentes conditions et les documents qui s’y rattachent soient rédigés en anglais.
## 25. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms we present to you, form the entire agreement between you and Studio Motto Motto Inc. regarding Rocket Age. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you. Sections 5 (retained-copy rights), 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, and 25 survive termination of your account or of these Terms.
