We respect your privacy and aim to be clear about what information Rocket Age collects, why we collect it, and how it is used.
Rocket Age is intended exclusively for users **18 years of age or older**.
## 1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Rocket Age, we may collect the following information.
### Account and profile information
We collect information needed to create and maintain your Rocket Age account and dating profile, including:
– Name or display name
– Email address
– User/account identifiers
– Date of birth and age
– Gender and sexual orientation
– Ethnic background
– Profile photos
– City and general location
– Other profile information you choose to provide
Some profile information is required in order to create and use a Rocket Age account.
### Gauntlet and compatibility information
Rocket Age allows users to provide information about themselves and what they are looking for through the Gauntlet and related compatibility features.
Depending on the questions you choose to answer, this may include information relating to:
– Relationship preferences
– Political or religious beliefs
– Financial situation or financial lifestyle
– Fitness and exercise habits
– Lifestyle and personal habits
– Communication and relationship styles
– Family and children preferences
– Other dating and compatibility preferences
Some of this information may be considered sensitive personal information — see Section 2 (Sensitive Information and Consent).
We use Gauntlet information to operate Rocket Age’s compatibility, grading, filtering and matching features.
### Usage and interaction information
Because Rocket Age is an interactive dating service, we also collect information generated as you and other users use it, including:
– The browse decisions and reactions you make on other profiles, and those that other users make on yours
– Votes, rankings and responses generated through the Dating Game and similar features
– Derived compatibility and ranking signals that Rocket Age computes from these interactions, which influence how profiles (including yours) are ordered and presented
– Matches, blocks, and reports you make or that concern your account
– Feature-usage and activity information, such as which features you use, when you were last active, and your time zone
– Your daily discovery activity, used to operate free-tier usage limits
### Location information
Rocket Age may collect:
– Approximate location, such as your city
– Precise location, when you choose to use features that require it
Location may be used to calculate distance between users and determine which profiles are eligible to be presented to each other.
When you voluntarily publish a **Beacon**, location information associated with that Beacon may be shown to the users you choose to make the Beacon available to. When you opt into a **Party Mode** event, your participation in that event is visible to other opted-in attendees for the duration of your participation.
Precise location features are optional.
### Messages and user-generated content
We may store content you create or exchange through Rocket Age, including:
– In-app chat messages
– Dating Game responses
– Profile prompts and answers (including translated versions we generate so users in other languages can read them)
– Gauntlet responses
– Captions and other profile content
– Other content you submit through Rocket Age
### Photos and voice recordings
Rocket Age collects profile photos that you upload.
If you use Rocket Age’s voice-prompt features, we also collect and store the voice recording so that it can be played as part of your profile. Voice recordings are used only for playback within profiles; we do not use them to identify you biometrically.
Rocket Age may allow users to associate music or song snippets with their profiles. Rocket Age does not collect your personal music files for this feature.
### Purchase information
If you purchase Premium, Boosts, Tactical Mode or other digital products, we receive and maintain information necessary to verify the purchase and provide the purchased feature or entitlement.
Rocket Age does **not** directly collect your credit-card or bank-account information. Payments are processed by the applicable app-store provider.
### App diagnostics and device information
With your consent where applicable, Rocket Age may collect:
– Crash reports and diagnostic information (crash reports may be associated with your account identifier so we can investigate problems affecting your account)
– Device or installation identifiers required for app functionality, crash reporting or notifications
We use this information to identify technical problems, maintain the service and improve reliability.
## 2. Sensitive Information and Consent
Some information Rocket Age handles is sensitive by nature — including sexual orientation, ethnic background, and any political, religious, financial or lifestyle information you choose to share through your profile or the Gauntlet.
Providing this information is optional (except where a feature cannot work without it, in which case the feature itself is optional). By choosing to provide it, you expressly consent to our using it for the purposes described in this Policy — operating your profile, matching, and the features you use. You can remove optional information from your profile at any time, and you may withdraw consent as described in Section 11.
We do not use sensitive information for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties except the service providers that host and process it on our behalf (Section 6).
## 3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
– Create and manage your Rocket Age account
– Display and operate your dating profile
– Authenticate users
– Determine profile eligibility and compatibility, and order the profiles shown in discovery and game features
– Operate the Gauntlet and Dating Game
– Calculate distance between users
– Provide Beacons, Party Mode and other real-world coordination features
– Enable matches and communications between users
– Deliver Premium, Boosts and other purchased features, and operate free-tier usage limits
– Send notifications you have enabled
– Moderate content, investigate reports, and enforce our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines
– Prevent abuse and maintain the security of Rocket Age
– Diagnose crashes and technical problems
– Comply with applicable legal obligations

**We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising.**
## 4. Automated Matching
Rocket Age uses automated processing to rank and select the profiles shown to you and to determine how your profile is shown to others, based on the preferences, filters, activity and interaction signals described in Section 1. This is how the matching service works; it does not involve decisions producing legal effects about you.
Account enforcement (such as suspensions or terminations under our Terms of Use) always involves human review before a final decision. If you believe an enforcement action or any automated processing has affected you unfairly, you can contact the Privacy Officer (Section 12) and have the matter reviewed by a person.
## 5. Information Other Users Can See
Rocket Age is a social and dating service. Certain information is therefore intentionally made visible to other Rocket Age users as part of the service.
Depending on the feature and your settings, this may include your:
– Name or display name
– Age
– Photos
– Profile information
– Gauntlet or compatibility information intended for display
– Dating Game responses
– Voice prompts
– Messages sent to other users
– Beacon information and locations you choose to publish
– Party Mode participation, visible to other opted-in attendees of the same event
Not all information collected by Rocket Age is displayed publicly or to other users. In particular, the individual browse decisions and ratings that other users make about you, and the derived ranking signals described in Section 1, are not shown to you or to other users.
## 6. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate Rocket Age. These providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.
These include:
**Supabase**
Authentication, database hosting, realtime services and file storage.
**Google Firebase / Firebase Cloud Messaging**
Push notifications and, where enabled with appropriate consent, crash diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics.
**Google Play**
Android in-app purchase and subscription processing.
**Apple services**
Where Rocket Age is offered on Apple devices, Apple may process purchases and push notifications through StoreKit and Apple Push Notification Service.
These providers operate under their own privacy and security obligations, and under contractual commitments to protect the information they process for us.
We do not provide personal information to advertising networks.
## 7. Other Disclosures
Beyond the service providers above and the user-visible information described in Section 5, we may disclose personal information only:
– Where required or permitted by law, including in response to lawful requests by courts or public authorities
– Where necessary to protect the safety of a person, including reports to authorities concerning child sexual abuse or exploitation, or imminent threats of harm
– To enforce our Terms of Use, investigate fraud or abuse, or establish or defend legal claims
– In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case the successor remains bound by commitments consistent with this Policy and you will be notified
## 8. Data Security
Rocket Age uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
Information transmitted between the Rocket Age app and its backend services is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS technologies. Access to personal information within Studio Motto Motto Inc. is limited to what is necessary to operate the service.
No Internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. If a confidentiality incident involving your personal information presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec as required by law, and we maintain a register of confidentiality incidents.
## 9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate your active Rocket Age account and provide the service.
When you delete your account, or request deletion, Rocket Age will delete or arrange for deletion of associated account information, including profile information, photos, voice recordings, matches, games, Beacons and chat history, generally within **30 days**.
Certain limited information may be retained for longer where required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or comply with legitimate legal obligations — for example, records of purchases and transactions retained for accounting and tax purposes, and moderation records retained for safety. When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, it is destroyed or anonymized.
## 10. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your Rocket Age account from within the app.

For security, we may take reasonable steps to verify that the person requesting deletion controls the Rocket Age account concerned before processing the request.
## 11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law — including Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and Canada’s PIPEDA — you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
– Request access to personal information we hold about you
– Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information
– Receive computerized personal information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format (data portability)
– Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
– Request that we cease disseminating personal information, or de-index it, where the law provides for this
– Request deletion of your account and personal information
– Ask questions or make a complaint about our privacy practices
To exercise these rights, contact the Privacy Officer (Section 12). We respond within the time limits set by law (generally 30 days) and may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the **Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec** or, for matters under federal law, the **Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada**.
## 12. Children and Minors
Rocket Age is an **18+ service**.
People under the age of 18 are not permitted to create or use a Rocket Age account. If we become aware that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or delete that account and its associated information.
## 13. Processing Outside Québec
Some service providers used by Rocket Age process or store personal information outside Québec, including in **[the United States / provider regions — confirm and list]**. Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess the sensitivity of the information, the purposes for which it is used, the protective measures that apply, and the legal framework of the receiving jurisdiction, as required by Québec law.
When personal information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws applicable in that jurisdiction. Studio Motto Motto Inc. takes reasonable steps, including contractual commitments, to ensure that service providers handling personal information provide protection consistent with this Policy.
## 14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Rocket Age, our practices or applicable requirements change.
When a material change affects how personal information is collected, used or disclosed, we will provide appropriate notice before the change takes effect.
The date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
